Gas Fees are the cost of transferring Ethereum based tokens. There are 220,000 tokens that currently use the Ethereum Blockchain, if you're transferring or converting them you have to pay a fee.

It can vary based on time of day, day of the week. But recently my own experience has been $50 to $500 to make a transfer.
